Bob Kaehler is the inventor and manufacturer of the Kaehler Core and has been a licensed physical therapist since 1991. He became a certified strength and conditioning specialist in 1997 while he was in the middle of being an international athlete. He competed in three Olympic Games [92, 96, and 00] and is a four-time world champion rower.

This column core training system was built out all of his experiences both as a world class athlete and medical professional. More than 20 Division 1 rowing teams currently use the Kaehler Core and incorporate the column core training system as part of their strength training and injury prevention systems. There are also hundreds of individual customers that also use this training system. The Kaehler Core is currently being used at several physical therapy clinics in the Philadelphia area.

• The column core training system is a unique flexibility and strength training delivery system that helps user to improve movement control of the spine and optimize strengthening and flexibility in the extremities being exercised. The column guided resistance provides visual, tactile, and kinesthetic feedback to help the brain help build the spine to become a powerful non-moving foundation for the arms and legs to work against. Column core strength and flexibility training can be used as a stand-alone strength and conditioning system or as a foundational compliment to all other strength and flexibility training modalities.

Column Core Training (CCT) Key Concepts: • There are four levels of difficulty on the Kaehler Core and these will be broken up into sections. Education will be geared towards how to apply these unique exercises to improving a patient/athletes movement control to reduce or eliminate injuries and increase movement performance.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to: • Demonstrate proper exercises to complete with patients on the equipment while on the ground. The basic training goals of column core training will be discussed along with the appropriate exercises to implement with patients.
